Hands-On Moto G Power 2025 Review After One Week of Use

Its been the best phone so far the picture is crisp and clean and with all the games I play I never have to charge it once it's full

Moto G Power 2025 Review

Yo friends, it’s been almost a week since I got my hands on the Moto G Power 2025. Bought it directly from Amazon for around $299, and honestly, at this price, this phone is quite interesting. Just by looking at the design, I felt that Motorola had done something serious. So I thought – let’s do a full testing. BGMI, Call of Duty, Fortnite – I tried everything, even popped the battery and saw. Now, whatever I felt was right and whatever was not, I am going to tell you everything in detail.

Design & Durability: Built Like a Tank

First things first – the phone feels solid in the hand. The matte finish vegan leather back (Slate Gray & Leaf Green options) looks premium, is grippy too and there is no fingerprint magnet.

Despite being a budget phone, it gets an IP68/IP69 rating – meaning it will bear water, dust, and everything. On top of that, it is MIL-STD-810H certified + Gorilla Glass 5 – meaning there is no worry even if it falls. The side-mounted fingerprint is fast, but people with small hands might have trouble reaching it.

Display: Big but Dim

The large 6.8-inch LCD screen gets a 120Hz refresh rate, so scrolling is smooth. The 1080p resolution is quite sharp – watching Squid Game type content on Netflix is a pleasure.

But the brightness only goes up to 521 nits – it struggles when used outdoors. The cheaper Moto G 2025 is even brighter (960 nits). It fades a bit from side angles, too.

Performance: Good Enough for Basics, Not Gaming

The combo of MediaTek Dimensity 6300 + 8GB RAM is enough for daily usage – YouTube, Insta, WhatsApp all run smoothly. But during heavy games like Fortnite and Honkai Star Rail, the CPU of the phone shakes.

After boosting the RAM, it shows 24GB (virtual), but there is no significant improvement in the real world. There is a slight stutter in multitasking, apps take some time to load. It is slower than the Dimensity 7020 (2024 model).

Battery Life: Lasts All Day (But Not the Best)

The 5,000mAh battery easily lasts for 1.5 to 2 days in normal usage. Only 15% battery was consumed after watching YouTube for 3 hours – impressive!

30W fast charging takes 50% to 30 minutes. Wireless charging is also available – 15W! Brother, wireless at this price? OP! But yes, charger is not provided in the box.

Cameras: Daylight Hero, Nighttime Zero

50MP main camera – takes very sharp and colorful photos in daylight. I clicked peppers at the grocery store – they looked great. 8MP ultrawide is also okay.

But struggles a lot in low-light. Night mode takes 6+ seconds to process. Selfie cam (16MP) also blurs the background too much – it doesn’t look natural.

Software & Updates – Clean But Basic

Out-of-the-box Android 15 is available, and Motorola has a clean UI – no major bloatware except that 1 Weather app (irritating).

There is a promise of 2 major Android updates plus 3 years of security updates. Not bad, but behind Samsung guys.

Final Verdict From Us

Look, Bhai, Moto G Power 2025 is not bad at all. The rugged build, wireless charging, and display quality you get in this budget – that’s impressive.

But yes, if your scene is gaming or you like night photography, then this phone will compromise.

My suggestion? Wait for some offer or discount. Motorola phones come on sale quickly. It is great for casual use, but for gaming or camera lovers – add a little more money or look for other options.
